Sapwood-milled acacia columns – a process that achieves a more lasting end result than barking!

Based on the decades of experience of S.C. Corect Team S.R.L., it has further developed the treatment of crusting: with the technique of sapwood-milling, we can achieve a much more lasting end result! The sapwood is a thin white layer between the liber and the duramen. It is the youngest part of the tree, rich in nutrients, in which the natural chemical protection characteristic of acacia has not yet developed, so it is a popular habitat for age-old fungi and insects. Recognizing these disadvantages of the sapwood, our company has developed a procedure to remove it. The resulting sapwoodless columns have a much longer lifespan than their barked counterparts do.
